Richard Johansson

I am a researcher in natural language processing working at the Language Bank and Centre for Language Technology at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. My work focuses on the application of dependency parsing and semantic role labeling in applications such as opinion extraction and discourse structure analysis.

I earned my PhD in 2008 at the Department of Computer Science at Lund University and the Swedish National Graduate School of Language Technology. In Lund I worked with Pierre Nugues, and my work was centered on semantic role analysis and its relation to syntax, in particular to parsing based on dependency representations. I then spent three years at the Information Engineering and Computer Science Department at the University of Trento, Italy, where I collaborated with Alessandro Moschitti and the other people in his group.
