HOW TO MAKE YOUR OPTROX PHOTOMAKER 3E WORK IN WINDOWS_XP
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This may seem odd but it worked perfectly for me.
What you will do is install the drivers for Windows_9X and then install the
drivers for Windows_NT. Your scanner will not show up in your All Programs list
or in Scanners and Cameras.
It will be able to be used through graphics programs like these that I have tested it in.
Adobe Photo Deluxe
Iceview
Image Pals
It should work through any program that can aquire an image from a Twain_32 source.
It won't work through Paint.

DIRECTIONS
-------------------
1. Download and unzip "9Xsetup.zip " and "NTsetup.zip".
They are the original factory drivers for Windows 95/98 and NT.
2. Open the folder "9Xsetup" and run SETUP.exe.
3. Open the folder "NTsetup" and run "Ntsetup.exe".
If Ntsetup will not run then drag Disk 1 onto NTCopy and drop it.

If Windows asks you for your XP disk go ahead and give it to it.

Now when you use a graphics program (they all work fairly similiar) you should be
able to click File > Aquire Image > Select Source > Scanner Twain_32 > Aquire
or something of the sort depending on the program.
The scanner program will open and should work perfectly.

It it still doesn't work repeat steps 2 & 3. Windows should not ask for it's disk this time.
If it doesn't work after repeating steps 2 & 3 try restarting the computer, that worked for at least one person using this fix.
If it STILL doesn't work there's nothing I can do for you.
